PTA
Christmas Fair - helpers wanted please!
On
Tuesday, October 13th, Ms Morrisroe and a group of Key Stage 2 children
went into Leeds on the train to the City Art Gallery. They had been
invited to a special event as part of the National Children’s Book Week
celebrations. At the Art Gallery they met David Roberts, the illustrator
and author of the ‘Dirty Bertie’ series of books.
Key
Stage 1 visited the Thackray Medical Museum. A selection
of photographs taken during their visit can be seen in the 'Gallery'
section by clicking here
Key Stage 1 took part in a truly
amazing Focus Day on Animals. Mrs Atkinson arranged for
"Sam's Safaris" to come in. Sam did not come in alone; she
brought in snakes, lizards and lots of insects. The
children loved this. They were braver than the teachers
when it came to holding the animals! They also made
fantastic animal masks, animal biscuits and drew lots of
animals with chalk all over the playground. It was an
extraordinary day! A selection of photos from the
day can be seen in the 'Gallery' section by clicking

Year
3/4 had a special 'India Day' in school. They experienced
the traditions of India. They had their eardrums
pounded by Sukhi the sensational dhol drummer; their tastebuds were tantalised by Mrs Kaur's potato
pakoras; Mrs Akbar's brilliant bhangra dancing was
vibrant and vivacious; and it all ended with succulent
snacks and sweets brought in by some marvellous mums and
dads (Sunil's and Joe's)! A selection of photos
from the day can be seen in the 'Gallery'
section by clicking here
