PTA Christmas Fair - helpers wanted please!
If you think you might be able to offer half an hour or so to help out at the Christmas Fair (Thursday 26th November : 5.30 - 7.30) the PTA would love to hear from you. Click here for further details.

Swimming
Swimming sessions were suspended due to roof problems at Kippax Pool. Arrangements have now been made for swimming to take place at Wetherby Pool while Kippax is out of use. Children who go to swimming lessons should bring their kit on Mondays as usual.

There have been a number of educational visits and special days in school recently. Photos of these can be found in the 'Gallery' section or click on the direct links below.

In November Freddy Fit was in school to help promote a healthy lifestyle. Click here to see a selection of photos from the day

On October 21st the PTA organised a Fancy Dress Disco in school. First of all the children in Key Stage 1 had theirs and then those from Key Stage 2 carried on the fun. There were all sorts of weird and wacky outfits on show as well as some dodgy looking mummies! A selection of photographs taken during their disco can be seen in the 'Gallery' section by clicking here

On Tuesday, October 13th, Ms Morrisroe and a group of Key Stage 2 children went into Leeds on the train to the City Art Gallery. They had been invited to a special event as part of the National Children’s Book Week celebrations. At the Art Gallery they met David Roberts, the illustrator and author of the ‘Dirty Bertie’ series of books.
A selection of photographs taken during their visit can be seen in the 'Gallery' section by clicking here

Key Stage 1 visited the Thackray Medical Museum. A selection of photographs taken during their visit can be seen in the 'Gallery' section by clicking here

Key Stage 1 took part in a truly amazing Focus Day on Animals. Mrs Atkinson arranged for "Sam's Safaris" to come in. Sam did not come in alone; she brought in snakes, lizards and lots of insects. The children loved this. They were braver than the teachers when it came to holding the animals! They also made fantastic animal masks, animal biscuits and drew lots of animals with chalk all over the playground. It was an extraordinary day!  A selection of photos from the day can be seen in the 'Gallery' section by clicking here

Year 3/4 had a special 'India Day' in school. They experienced the traditions of India. They had their eardrums pounded by Sukhi the sensational dhol drummer; their tastebuds were tantalised by Mrs Kaur's potato pakoras; Mrs Akbar's brilliant bhangra dancing was vibrant and vivacious; and it all ended with succulent snacks and sweets brought in by some marvellous mums and dads (Sunil's and Joe's)! A selection of photos from the day can be seen in the 'Gallery' section by clicking here

Year 5/6 recently visited the National Coal Mining Museum. A selection of photographs taken during the visit can be seen in the 'Gallery' section by clicking here.
