Curriculum
: 'delicious'
'delicious' is a social bookmarking
application. We have started to use it in school as a way of
collecting and collating website links of internet sites which might be useful in
supporting the curriculum. Click on the icon on the right to visit
our 'delicious' page. You will see a range of 'tags' on the right
hand site of the 'delicious' page. Use these
to locate links of potential interest. It is hoped that children and
parents will find these links helpful both in school and at home
when undertaking work for 'Learning Logs' etc.
As this is a new initiative there are only a handful of links
present at the moment. Further links will be added by the school as different areas of the
curriculum are covered.
You can help to maintain and develop the page by :
a) reporting any links which seem to be dead or are thought to
contain inappropriate material by clicking
here.
b) suggesting additional links which you feel may be useful.
Instructions for adding bookmark links are shown below.
Adding bookmark links
If you have a 'delicious' account you can add a bookmark link
to East Garforth by logging in. Having entered a new bookmark's website address
(URL) when
prompted, or clicking 'EDIT' on an existing bookmark, the page shown above will open. Type
eastgarforth (no
space) in the 'SEND' field and then click 'SAVE'. The details of the
proposed new link will then be sent to school.
If you do not have a 'delicious' account you can simply email the
web address (URL) of the link by clicking
here
All suggested links will be viewed and if considered to be
appropriate for use in school will be added to our 'delicious' page.
