Kidzone : Good Causes
Each year we try to help others
who are not as fortunate as we are. In addition to fundraising we
also look at raising awareness in school of the issues the charities
deal with.

We again supported 'Children in Need' with a variety of fund
raising ideas. Children paid to bring their teddy bears into school,
a fantastic selection of buns were sold and pupils from Year 5/6
organised stalls and competitions. As a result of all the hard work
a total of £415.42 was raised.
Poppy
Appeal
Children
in school commemorated Remembrance in school during November.
Poppies were sold to support the work of the Royal British Legion.
During a special assembly we learned about the history of why the
poppies are sold and how the proceeds from their sale help to
support members of the military injured in battle and the families
of those killed in action. At 11 o'clock on the 11th November the
children in KS2 observed a minute's silence.
