We have four houses which are named after local areas: Austhorpe, Barrowby, Lotherton and Parlington. Each house has year 6 pupils as captains and vice captains. The captains change every half term; the vice captains take over as captains and new vice captains are chosen. Click here to see the current house captains. House points can be awarded to recognise good work, behaviour, attitude, being helpful and considerate etc. At the end of each week the house captains are responsible for counting the points and the results are announced in assembly. The house which has scored the most points during that week is recognised by attaching the appropriate colour scarf to our "House Ted".


At the end of each half term the house which is in the lead is recognised by having a ribbon in their colour attached to the House Shield. Finally the house which has scored the most points over the year is permanently recorded on the shield itself; its name being engraved on one of the ten metal plates.

Winners of the house competition for 2008 - 2009 were Lotherton. Their name has now been inscribed on the House Shield. To see who won the competition in previous years click here.
